NEC Electric Code Alert
Effective January 1, 2008, the latest version of the National Electric Code (NEC) will incorporate a requirement (NEC 2008, Article 410.130(G))
for a ballast disconnect in indoor luminaires using linear fluorescent lamps, to allow the ballast to be disconnected from and reconnected to incoming power under load without turning the entire circuit off.
